Kayla Passmore

Kayla Passmore, known for her leadership and dedication to fostering team culture, had the honour of being part of four consecutive CCAA National Championship teams during her six-year journey with the VIU Mariners Varsity Women's Volleyball team. She proudly served as team captain for four years.

​

​With nine years of coaching experience under her belt, Kayla brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the court. As a dedicated educator in Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District 68, she is committed to fostering growth and development both on and off the volleyball court.

 

Kayla's passion for creating a vibrant team culture shines through in her coaching style, where she infuses every session with energy and enthusiasm. Kayla has served as the Former Volleyball Alberta Camp Director for the Jasper and Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camps and as a Program Leader for Westcoast Connection Global Teen Travel Tours. Additionally, she has contributed her efforts as a Program Coordinator for Global Emerging Leadership Programs.

 

Currently pursuing a Masters of Special Education, Kayla holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Inclusive Education and a Bachelor of Education Degree. Kayla is committed to empowering athletes to reach their fullest potential while fostering a sense of camaraderie and joy in the game.
